You’ve Got The Concept – We’ve Got The Solution

We are passionate about finding the perfect packaging solution for our customers. We are continuously monitoring industry trends and listening to what our customers need.

We have worked with our glass suppliers over the years and implemented unique options for wine bottles to create high-impact packaging that our customers can use as a strong marketing tool.

Here are just some of the services we offer that you may not be aware of:

Proprietary Bottles

We have worked with Torbreck Vintners to create a proprietary botte to provide a unique offering by having an embossed logo on the shoulder of the bottle. In the past proprietary bottles were only available for customers ordering large volumes but Vi Packaging have worked with local suppliers Orora and O-I to make it a reality for more customers to emboss or deboss their bottles on the neck, shoulder, label panel and or the base of the bottle.

Regional Bottles

Two regional bottles have been developed by Vi Packaging in response to demands from Eden Valley and Barossa winemakers for a package unique to the region.

Eden Valley Riesling Bottle

The Eden Valley Riesling proprietary bottle was launched in 2011 with the support of 12 small winemakers from the wine region of Eden Valley in South Australia, and continues to be used by many for their vintage rieslings.

It was at the time a South Australian first, the bottle generating interest and enquiry about its origins from consumers. The bottle was developed in collaboration with the winemakers from Eden Valley, Vi Packaging and Orora Glass.

Fifth generation Eden Valley winemaker Stephen Henschke was one of the first to sign up for the proprietary bottle, commenting: “Eden Valley has a rich winemaking history dating back to 1847 so it’s only fitting we continue to support the message and encourage our fellow riesling winemakers to join the cause”.

The relief design of contoured rows and rolling hills synonymous with Eden Valley connects region to variety and brings an enquiring touch to the traditional antique green riesling bottle. “This elegant ‘stamp’ signifies pride of association and pride of region, and hopefully gives our loyal and future Eden Valley Riesling enthusiasts confidence at linking this distinctive riesling style to its origins,” says Henschke.

Barossa Bottle

The new “Barossa” regional bottle was developed by Vi Packaging and O-I glass. Langmeil Winery is the first company to embrace the redesigned Barossa regional bottle. Vi Packaging are delighted to be able to create a marketing solution for Barossa winemakers. The stylised “Barossa” in an embossed text, was designed to create an immediate visual link for consumers between the region and its award-winning wines in a tactile package to better engage customers in-store and at the table. “This initiative is just one of many which will help us achieve our growth and sustainability plans,” Langmeil Winery CEO, Matthew McCulloch.
