David Hutton Championing New Technology Platform

As many of you are aware, Vi Packaging, Vinpac International and Dorrien Estate are moving to a modern integrated technology platform.

Our program will simplify the way we work, enabling us to deliver a consistent and positive customer experience. Consolidated real time information will transform the way we work and enable our people to serve more of our customers needs.

The platform has been successfully rolled out at Dorrien but to assist with the implementation of this major project, it was identified the need for a key leader to champion the Vinpac International/Vi Packaging component.

David Hutton will take up the position of Business Owner – Vinpac Technology, for a 12 month secondment effective as of the 1st of September 2018.

David Hutton has been General Manager of Vinpac International for the last 13 years. PreVious to this he was Operations Manager for Vinpac International and worked at Vinpac’s site in the Hunter Valley for over 3 years. David will use his extensive knowledge knowledge of our business and provide strategic leadership to this critical project.

During this time, Lisa Ashby will fill the role of General Manager – Wine Operations. Lisa has been with our business for 13 years and is currently National Sales and Supply Manager for Vi Packaging. Lisa has a lot of experience and a strong background in the packaging industry.

With Lisa stepping into this role we saw an opportunity to align the sales teams across the two businesses, Vi Packaging and Vinpac International. Simon Coombs, National Sales Manager for Vinpac International will manage both Vinpac International and Vi Packaging sales teams.

The Vi Packaging team still remains the same with Kate Salway, Peter Reed and Martin Smith as Account Managers, Jo Baker in Marketing and Design, Deb and Dan in Customer Service.

There are exciting times ahead for both businesses and we look forward to what the future will hold.
