A Look Back At 2018

With Christmas just around the corner and 2018 coming to an end we thought it was a good chance to reflect on the highlights of this year.

It has been a big year for VI Packaging….

We celebrated our 10th year in business in May with a party for our valued customers and suppliers. This gave us a chance for us to show our appreciation to everyone that has supported us over the years. We also launched our new website product catalogue at the event. The response from both customers and suppliers was so positive that a month ago we added the capability for our customers to be able to order their packaging direct from our website straight into our system. This has allowed our customers to view all the dry goods we sell and has made the ordering process even quicker and easier for our customers and customer service team.

We have also focused on broadening our offerings interstate. We have strengthened our supply chain solutions in WA, NSW, VIC and TAS and have added to our team by having a dedicated Account Manager (Martin Smith) in the west. We have also seen the need to expand our beer and cider offerings and now offer beer cans as well as bottles. Dan is our dedicated “Beer Man” servicing breweries locally and interstate.

Every year we look at new products or services we can offer by listening to customer feedback and industry trends. We introduced our new DIVRIGHT divider range, which is more robust and easier to use. To become the one-stop-shop we now offer in-house design for labels, cartons and caps.

We continue to strengthen our relationship with our suppliers by working with Nuriootpa Traders to create the “VI Packaging Truck”. We were also honoured to be chosen as a finalist for the Wine Industry IMPACT Awards, where the judges praised our service offering:

Their high quality customer relationships, collaborative approach, competitive pricing, convenience and reliability deliver a significant level of impact.

It has been a really exciting time for Lisa Ashby, who transitioned to a secondment position as General Manager for Vinpac International in September and Simon Coombs known as “Soggy” by most, joined the VI Packaging team.

If this year is anything to go by next year will be even bigger and better!!

Our office will be closed from Friday 21st December returning Monday 7th January. We look forward to working with everyone again in 2019.
